Drift #4 Recording
Here I was on 35th and Fond Du Lac walking and I came across the sound of a car starting and some whistling from a man that was walking by me while I was recording. I like how the timing of the sounds came together in this recording.

Drift #3 Recording
I was at home one night and it started raining really hard outside. The rain was pouring really hard out on my balcony and it was pounding on the tarp I have laying out on there. I hurried and grabbed the MD and started recording the rain before it let up. The sound is soothing and I can use this as a model for drums when we start the later drifts.

Drift #2 Recording

This sound was recorded in the same area in on the playground as the first drift. I placed my mic underneath those big tic tac toe things kids play with and started turning the X's and O's.

Drift #1 Recording

I kind of went of course a little bit and found a park with some kids playing on a turn about. They were with there parents and they seemed to be having so much fun as the father was turning them at high speeds. I got permission from the parents to record the screams of joy and the turn about that they were on.

Drift Strategy #1
My strategy was to explore the areas that had a lot of life in it. I wanted the areas to be lively and busy. So I searched for the areas that had that sound I was looking for, the sound of life and people in that surrounding. I use different methods of distorting the recording of the rounds by inserting the mic with in a empty bottle or covering the mic with my shirt. This is just a collection of sounds which I will later mix together and use for the future blogs of this class to create a sort of clash of cultures by blending them.
